Thank you for your interest in women in the RCMP and for reading my thesis! I appreciate your interest in my work and in female police officers. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have, but want to warn you that my expertise is in the history of women in the police force, not about the current situation. If you want to know what it is like now, perhaps you can contact the RCMP museum in Regina. They may be able to connect you with someone who is recently retired or who is actually working in the RCMP right now. They would be better able to tell you what it’s like today. I hope this helps, and if you need any information about women between 1974 and 1990, feel free to get in touch. Good luck with yuor project.

Hey. I found your name in an article online regarding the history of women in the RCMP. It said you joined the force in 1977. The reason why I am reaching out is that I have a close family member who was adopted at birth in 1979, born in Vancouver at Grace Hospital. He has no records of who his birth parents are. The only info he has is that his birth mom was a police officer at the time of his birth somewhere in the lower mainland and that she was originally from a maritime province, possibly Nova Scotia. Does any of this ring a bell to you of someone you may have worked with or is there a direction you can point me in to find out any information.
